Lightweight pole climbing shoes made primarily from composite materials for efficient and safe climbing on wood and composite poles with a diameter of Ø120-200mm. The composite pole shoe is exceptionally agile and easier to climb with compared to traditional steel pole shoes. Originally developed in close collaboration with the telecommunications industry and external ergonomic experts, these shoes are designed to prevent wear-and-tear injuries to the knees and back.
The footplate is molded from fiberglass-reinforced plastic, while the gripping arm is made from epoxy straps in polyester webbing. An additional advantage of composite material over metal is the absence of hidden cracks.
According to Swedish standards and utility company regulations (RST 2), pole climbing shoes must be inspected annually and discarded after 10 years (§ 12 and 16). These pole climbing shoes have been tested in accordance with the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s regulations (AFS 2000:6).
