The Market’s Most Powerful Portable Battery Winch for Cable Pulling – Sahlins 3022
With a motor output of 1.7 kW and an impressive pulling capacity of up to 1,200 kg, the Sahlins 3022-B is a compact powerhouse. Developed in collaboration with STIHL by EDER, this battery-powered winch pulls more than 90 times its own weight (just 12 kg) – and can easily be carried by hand to any job site.
Pulling is performed using a strap, but for increased versatility, an optional Tow Ball & Ladder Bracket allows for mounting on a Ø50 mm vehicle tow ball or directly onto a cable ladder.
Operation
The 3022-B is operated outside the danger zone, close to the winch. By gently pulling the rope, the throttle on the control unit is activated and the winch begins to pull. As soon as the operator releases the rope, the winch stops.
Load Holding / Backstop
Once the winch stops, the pulling rope is clamped in the brake, preventing the load or cable from unintentionally slipping back. However, the brake can be deliberately released when needed.
