Sahlins is a Swedish company with Head Office located in Skene and Production unit with warehouse in Holsljunga. Sahlins is a designer, manufacturer and supplier of cable installation equipment whether that cable be overhead, underground or fibre optic. We also offer a wide range of accessories and tools, some of them unique to Sahlins.
The company was founded in 1969 by Gunnar Sahlin and the name at that time was Sahlins Maskin AB. The first business took place with products such as small line machines and drum stands. At that time there was a big need in Sweden for development of new equipment helping cable installers in the field. This resulted in a quick expansion of the product range which soon included cable winches, cable feeders, ploughes, drum trailers, blowing equipment, fibreglass rods, drum handling and many other tools and accessories for cable installation.
The company was acquired by Thomas Nuorimaa in July 2004 and one year later the name changed to Sahlins Cable Equipment AB.
Sahlins is today the market leader in Sweden within machines and equipment for cable network installation and our mission is to simplify the daily work for installers, world wide, by using our machines and equipments to provide automation of the cable and wire installation process. Our customers are active in the markets for energy, power utility, telecom and building constructions - all over the world.
